Following on from our recent success in winning November 2021’s Which? Trusted Trader of the Month Award, we are pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted for this year’s BWF (British Woodworking Federation) Awards.
Specifically, we have been shortlisted in their Product Design in Wood Award which recognises excellence in technical innovation and application in the design and manufacture of a joinery product.
For our application, we submitted information on a recent large renovation project that we were involved in. As part of the project, we manufactured a bespoke, double glazed French door which was roughly 3.8 metres high by 4 metres wide.
All the applications were assessed by a panel of independent judges, before 2 or 3 entries were shortlisted for each award. The judges compared the applications based on the following criteria:
- Innovation – A product that helps to showcase or extend the market for design and manufacture in wood;
- Design – Overcoming particular technical design difficulties or exploiting new concepts to produce the desired joinery solution(s);
- Excellence & Achievement – Evidence that the company has excelled in their technical application to reach a solution that exceeds the usual requirements and/or expectations of joinery product(s).
The winners will be officially announced at an awards ceremony that we will be attending in London on the evening of the 26th November.
