The History of The Sash Window Workshop
The Sash Window Workshop was founded in 1994 by our Managing Director, Richard Dollar. The company started trading in converted pig sheds in Ascot, Berkshire.
30 years later, we are still an independently run company. However, we now operate from purpose-designed manufacturing facilities in Bracknell, Berkshire, and employ around 80 members of staff.
We have experience working on a wide range of properties, from small flats to prestigious buildings, including Buckingham Palace and The Admiralty Buildings.

Our Accreditations
We are members of several different accrediting bodies, including FENSA. We are Which? Trusted Traders and have an excellent Trustpilot rating, meaning that you can feel secure in the knowledge that you will receive a high-quality product and service.
We are members of Made in Britain, with all our replacement windows and doors manufactured by our skilled craftsmen in our Berkshire workshop.
We are also FSC certified and use a timber called Accoya as standard, which comes with a 50-year anti-rot guarantee. We are proud to be an Accoya-approved manufacturer, having been an early adopter of the timber.
Manufacture and Installation of Windows and Doors
Operating from one central location in Berkshire, we are able to ensure a consistently high standard of work. We also recognise that windows and doors must be installed efficiently with both consideration and minimal disruption.
By providing an installation service, alongside the manufacturing of your new windows and doors, we can provide a one-stop shop for replacing your timber windows and doors. We also provide a draught-proofing service for timber windows that do not require replacement.
We also provide new joinery on a supply-only basis.
