With building regulation changes to improve the energy efficiency of homes from the 15th June, and increasing awareness around improving older homes, we are delighted that we can offer ‘A’ rated timber windows.
Our ‘A’ rated timber windows have been specifically designed to be energy efficient and period appropriate.
All our new windows are manufactured in our workshops in Bracknell and are double-glazed and draught proofed as standard.
At The Sash Window Workshop, we understand the importance of paying excellent attention to detail when measuring and manufacturing new windows to ensure that they fit smoothly and retain their traditional appearance.
FINEO Glazing
We are also now able to offer our customers FINEO glazing. FINEO glazing is a slim double-glazed unit with an excellent U-value of 0.7, which makes it more efficient than standard double glazing and roughly equivalent to triple glazing.
FINEO glass provides a higher level of natural daylight in your property, compared to triple glazing, and is a lot thinner meaning it will be more suitable for period properties.
At the same time, FINEO glass blocks at least 99% of UV radiation, reducing discoloration and fading of your furnishings.
The glass is vacuum-insulated, meaning that the two glass panes are sealed with a vacuum seal rather than with inert gas, such as Krypton or Argon gas. This means that the chance of internal condensation between the double-glazed panes is reduced.
FINEO glass is a sustainable choice. The glass is made in Belgium, reducing the carbon emissions from similar glass companies who import from further afield. The glass is also 100% recyclable and also comes with a 15 year guarantee.
