At The Sash Window Workshop, we are proud to regularly support a wide range of local and national charities. The company puts money aside every year is to support different charities, and this year has been no different.
Supporting Alzheimer’s Society
With around 900,000 people in the UK currently living with dementia (source) it is a condition that affects a lot of families across the UK.
Earlier this year, the company donated £1,000 to the Alzheimer’s society to help support people diagnosed with dementia and research into how to better treat and care for people with dementia.
Donating money to The Listening Place
Every December we also choose charities supporting those who may be struggling for any reason over the Christmas period.
As part of our Christmas charity donations for 2024, this year we have decided to donate £2,000 to The Listening Place, a charity who provide face-to-face support in London for anyone who feels suicidal.
Other charities we have supported this year
We are proud to have a strong family-based ethos within the company and believe that it is important to help others. As such, we have previously supported a variety of charities, from cancer charities to children’s charities, to supporting our local foodbank.
Employees can suggest charities close to their heart that they would like the company to support, and these are then reviewed by the Managing Directors.
In addition to Alzheimer’s Society and The Listening Place, we have also donated to some of our more regular charities this year, like Swings and Smiles, who support disabled children and their families. We are proud to continue to support several charities in their efforts to help others.
