Like our replacement timber windows and doors, we recommend using a timber called Accoya, which is highly durable and stable and comes with a 50 year anti-rot guarantee.

Secondary Glazing Benefits

There are numerous benefits of installing secondary glazing in your home.

Not to be confused with double glazed windows, our secondary glazing service involves fitting an additional window internally, in front of the existing external sash or casement window. This can be of particular benefit if you own a listed building, are restricted by planning constraints, or would like to retain the integrity of your period building.

Having an additional window installed can also increase the security of your home, providing an additional obstacle to stop unwanted intruders.

We manufacture bespoke, secondary glazing units and offer a range of different glazing, ironmongery and paint options.

Like double glazing, installing secondary glazing can help improve thermal insulation, offering energy cost savings. It can also help reduce noise by creating an extra barrier for external noise coming into your home.

In addition to secondary glazing, we also offer replacement sash windows and timber casement windows, which depending on planning constraints can either be double glazed or single glazed, and a draught proofing service for existing wooden windows.
