The Sash Window Workshop: Looking Back at 2020

With 2020 coming to a close, we look back on a year which has been unlike any other. We are proud to have been able to adjust and respond to the challenges that this year has presented.

We have achieved a lot in 2020, working hard to manufacture, install and repair thousands of timber windows and doors, and we are proud to be going into 2021 with a strong and healthy order book.

We started the year by assessing our carbon footprint, using the data gathered to assess how we can improve our environmental sustainability going forward. Later in the year, we sponsored the Period Living reader awards and launched our new website.

Like many businesses, we have had to adjust to a ‘new normal’, adapting our office and workshop to create a one way system to assist with social distancing and providing additional PPE to our employees to help keep everyone safe. We are proud to have overcome these challenges while continuing doing what we do best, making and fitting the finest timber windows and doors.

We are enormously grateful to all our colleagues for pulling together and helping us through what has been a challenging year for both the business and for them personally.

As we look forward to the Christmas break and 2021, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for trusting us with their business and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We look forward to working with both new and returning customers next year.

Please note that The Sash Window Workshop will be closed over the Christmas holiday period, from 4:30pm on Wednesday 23rd December until Monday 4th January.  Emails sent during this time will be checked sporadically.
