The Sash Window Workshop this Christmas is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Sash Window Workshop are proud to have a long history of supporting a variety of charities, both local to the company in the Thames Valley and nationwide. Every year employees hold various events to help raise money, which is matched or supported by a donation from the company.
After donating to the Crisis, a charity aimed at supporting the homeless, in 2018, The Sash Window Workshop has this year decided to support Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan Cancer Support offer emotional, physical and financial support to people with cancer and their families, offering support from diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond.
Employees from The Sash Window Workshop were asked to bring in cakes on the 13th December to then sell to raise money for Macmillan. Those who wanted to have some of the cake were then asked to make a donation in the charity box.
In total, employees raised £171.26, which The Sash Window Workshop then matched and rounded up, bringing the total donation to £350. Some employees also chose to gift aid their donation, meaning that the final amount that the charity can claim will be higher.
