The Sash Window Workshop is proud to have raised £1,500 for Crisis, a charity which aims to help end homelessness.
With the colder winter months, charities like Crisis become increasingly important to help keep people who are homeless warm and fed. Crisis also runs help sessions across the country throughout the year to allow people who are homeless to receive advice on housing, employment and any health issues.
To help raise money for the charity, a raffle was held with employees paying £5 per raffle ticket.
Counterfoils of the sold raffle tickets were put into a box and randomly drawn to match a random prize. Employees were then able to check to see if they had won any prizes, with roughly a 1-in-3 chance of winning.
The prizes ranged from a box of chocolates to prizes worth £100, all brought by the company using Nectar card points gained over the past year.
In total, The Sash Window Workshop’s employees raised £540 through raffle ticket sales which was then added to by the company, resulting in a total of £1,500 being donated to the charity.
At The Sash Window Workshop we are proud to regularly support a variety of charities, having previously raised money for MacMillan Cancer Support, Comic Relief, Thames Hospice and East Anglia Children’s Hospice.
