Bi-Fold Door and Windows in a Conservation Area in Islington

Replacement Windows and a Door installed in an Article 4 Conservation Area in North London.

We were contacted regarding a property that was situated in an Article 4 Conservation Area within the North London borough of Highbury and Islington.

Our customer had been working with their architect and the local council with the agreement to maintain a traditional front to the house but had more latitude for change to the rear of the property.

Our sales surveyor discussed the different options available to them before providing them with a quotation for a bi-folding door and new sash windows.

After the order was placed, the windows and door were manufactured in our workshop in Bracknell. The new joinery was made using Accoya, which comes with a 50 year anti-rot guarantee.

At the front of the property, we fitted new traditional sash windows, which were in keeping with the street, and incorporated heritage double glazing to help improve energy efficiency.

At the rear, we fitted additional timber windows and a contemporary timber bi-fold door set.
