The Sash Window Workshop were contacted by a couple looking to upgrade the windows in their period property to improve the energy efficiency.
They had been recommended by a family member who had work done by The Sash Window Workshop previously.
A visit was arranged to assess the windows before a quotation was provided for two pairs of double-glazed sashes being installed into the existing window frames and a complete new, double-glazed casement window.
They decided to proceed, and an additional survey was carried out to check the measurements before the windows were manufactured and then installed.
The customer was very happy with the windows and decided to place additional orders for more work.

The work was phased across a further four orders, which included a complete new French door and replacing the sashes (the moving parts of the window) in 7 box sash windows and 2 large bay windows.
The house had settled over time, meaning that the windows were out of square.
Excellent attention to detail was required when replacing the windows and door to ensure that they matched the style of the property. This was especially important due to the bespoke nature of some of the windows to ensure that the new sashes would operate smoothly within the existing window frame.
Since the work was completed, the customer commented that the product and service was excellent, adding that they were happy with the “personable and considerate staff [and] high quality workmanship”. They also noted that they would recommend us to others.
