The Sash Window Workshop has released an updated video of the company’s workshop in Bracknell, Berkshire.

The video shows how we manufacture our timber windows and doors, from the initial sections of timber being cut until the finished product is ready to leave our workshop.

The workshop video starts with some of our employees arriving for work. The timber is then cut to size using a range of machinery, including our CNC machine. The cut timber is then labelled and carried through to the joinery shop.

In the joinery shop the timber is assembled and prepared for painting. Unless a bespoke colour has been selected by the customer, the windows and doors are then sprayed in our standard white and hung to dry. A minimum of three coats of paint are applied.

Where necessary, glass is then fitted and sealed in place. Finishing touches are made to the window or door, and the item is checked before being packed to travel to the installation address.
