This summer, we were proud to donate a total of £4,150 to 13 incredible UK charities as part of our long service employee recognition scheme.
At The Sash Window Workshop, we don’t just celebrate work anniversaries with a gift voucher—we also invite our long-serving team members to nominate a charity close to their heart. We then make a donation to that charity on their behalf.
This year, we recognised 35 employees, who together have given an amazing 495 years of service to the company. Their chosen charities reflect a diverse range of causes, from national health organisations and local hospices to children’s charities and animal welfare groups.
The charities supported include:
Macmillan Cancer Support, Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK, Foyle Hospice, Princess Alice Hospice, Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, Swings & Smiles, British Heart Foundation, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, Mind, Daisy’s Dream, 52 Lives, and Pine Ridge Dog Sanctuary.
“We’re proud to celebrate the commitment and loyalty of our long-serving employees by giving something back to the charities they care about,” said Richard Dollar, Managing Director. “This initiative is a meaningful way for us to recognise staff contributions while also supporting incredible organisations doing vital work across the UK and locally.”
The initiative is just one example of how The Sash Window Workshop blends traditional values with a forward-thinking approach. As a Which? Trusted Trader and member of FENSA and the British Woodworking Federation, the company is known for its dedication to craftsmanship, customer service, and sustainability.
This latest round of donations reinforces the company’s belief that a strong business is built not just on quality products, but on people, purpose, and place.
