The Sash Window Workshop has developed bespoke timber secondary glazing solutions for both sash and casement windows
Our secondary glazing systems are designed to retain the charm and character of existing windows in your period home.
This can be of particular benefit if you own a listed building, are restricted by planning constraints or would like to retain the integrity of your period building.
Our secondary glazing solutions are unique depending on the configuration of the existing windows that are to be retained and on the individual design choice. We are proud to be able to offer both sliding and hinged secondary glazing systems to suit your requirements.
Each timber window that we make is individual and we can replicate any design or pattern, allowing you to retain the feel of your period home. This means we are able to manufacture the windows to blend in with the existing windows, and install window furniture to keep the design as seamless as possible. Some of the period designs we can replicate include: Georgian windows; Edwardian windows; and Victorian windows.
Our secondary glazing can provide the benefits of modern glazing solutions, including increased energy efficiency and draught prevention while retaining existing external windows that may need to remain unaltered.
