TSWW windows are even better quality and energy efficient
We are proud to announce that The Sash Window Workshop has now passed EN 1279 Part 3, and is now 100% compliant with the European standard for the manufacture of double glazed units. Part 3 is a particularly tough standard to meet.
Furthermore we have also completed air leakage and U value simulations for our traditional casement and sliding sash windows and have met the standards required to obtain a BRE energy rating certificate on each product, to ensure compliance with the requirements set out for the proposed new Part L legislation, which will be coming into force in October.
This is no mean feat. To make traditional timber windows in period properties meet the new standards whilst still maintaining a “traditional” look is very difficult. We have done it! Congratulations to our team for all their hard work. We will update you soon with more developments.
