If you are considering adding Bi-Fold Doors to your home important things to consider are:

Security, ensure your doors are fitting with a Multi-point Lock System

Top hung, ensure the doors are hung and weighted from the top, this is important as with bottom hung doors the tracking system can become blocked with dirt and debris which prevents smooth operation. Plus if weight is supported from the bottom this may affect the tracking system as all weight bears down on the mechanism

Paint finish, ensure your doors are painted well to preserve longevity. Timber is a natural substance and as such requires maintenance. We recommend three coats of micro-porous paint. This paint allows the timber to breathe whilst at the same time prevents rot and deterioration. Wooden Bi-Fold doors will require maintenance however and frequency depends on the elevation and exposure to the elements. We recommend maintenance every three to five years
