NEW BOX SASH WINDOWS

Did you know that the traditional box sash window has been around since the 17th century? Amazingly the design remains almost unchanged. Traditional sash windows operate via a mechanism that consists of cords and pulleys counterbalanced with weights. There are many different designs and patterns of sash windows that we are proud to be able to replicate. We can replace the entire window or just the sliding parts provided that the existing frames are in good enough condition. The materials we use are of the highest quality. We are currently working towards FSC certification, which will ensure that all the timber we use is sustainable. Years of experience leave us with the knowledge that only the best and most durable materials are good enough. All of our new box sash windows are manufactured at our workshop in Berkshire by our team of qualified joiners to standards that comply with European manufacturing quality standard EN 14351 and are delivered with a comprehensive twenty year guarantee.

GLASS

Unusually for most window manufacturers we make all our own glass double glazed units and cut all our own glass in house. This allows us to maintain the highest standards. New sash windows are glazed in accordance with Building regulations and the relevant BS standards (EN 1279) to offer the best in energy efficiency. We can supply a wide variety of different glass types to suit your specific needs. Patterned, obscure, safety and laminate glass are just a few of the many types available.

Once manufactured and glazed your new box sash window(s) are carefully painted. Our standard finish is white semi gloss inside and outside consisting of basecoat primer / preservative, undercoat and topcoat.

If you require a bespoke finish to your windows this presents no problem. We provide windows with a wide variety of finishes on a daily basis.

WINDOW FURNITURE

We supply and fit a standard range of window furniture, which is specially selected for being high quality, hard wearing and elegant. Our standard finishes are brass, polished chrome and brushed chrome but we can also source other patterns and finishes on request.
